Want a perfect moment? Sit on the point with a steaming cup of coffee and watch the sun sparkle on the lake or by a roaring evening fire and bathe in a star studded sky full of wonder. --Ron |
I really liked kayaking and windsurfing. I also saw Sasquatch in the woods by the picnic table. Really! There are also some nice fishing spots and great places to see the night sky the I.S.S. (International Space Station) I really want to come back soon!! --Chandlier (12 years old) |
We are from Saginaw, Michigan. The snowmobiling is just beautiful! We've relaxed and enjoyed the view. I watched the snow fall in the evening, its very tranquil. The food and hospitality in Heyden are un-matched. The people are so friendly. We look forward to spending more time in this lovely atmosphere. Thank you Jamie and Denise, you are both great people and have done a great job on the cabin. Your new friends,--Scott and Rose Ann |
These are a few of our favourite things about Hemlock Haven:

Theres' no greater place for us to be spending the end of 2003 we came for snow and cross country skiing, for taking picture and sight seeing to stokely creek and around this lake, in a covered sled our toddlers we'd take, then back to the cabin for a warm fire and tea, and "Douglas Fir" the singing Christmas tree, We'd like to thank Jamie and Denise, and hope their new year is filled with peace! --Peter, Lena, and Dakotta, --Zeeland MI |
The SNO*Dawgs finished up their Ontario Loop and stayed at the Hemlock for a ittle R & R. The loop started in Wawa, then an overnight in Hearst, then to Timmins for the night, next Chapleau , then back to Wawa. 820 miles total. Seven guys and seven sleds and had a blast?Sno-Boarding at Searchmont was great! The Dawgs had a good time and will be back next year! --SNO*Dawgs - Michigan |
Thanks Jamie and Denise (and Kayla!) for being such great hosts, providng all the comforts of home, and such a warm welcome we'll be back again next year for sure. --The Taurozzi's( Oakville, Ont) |
We really enjoyed "Hemlock Haven"We had a great time out in the canoe and swimming in the lake. We
caught a large mouth bass off the dock and saw many fishing while snorkeling. There were tonnes of hummingbirds and we were able to hand
feed the chipmunks. We also learnt what Hemlock trees are. |
Thank you for making Hemlock Haven such a warm cosy place to spend a few days. Even got to enjoy a snowstorm! Great Skiing by all. The Casino took our $'s, we were able to "lick our wounds" in the most beautifulsurroundings. Wonderful hosts! --Nancy and Dave,Mesick Mi |
